Tennessee Marriage Licenses
Couples may purchase a Tennessee marriage license at the County
Clerk's Marriage License Centers. Applicants are not required to
be residents of the state of Tennessee or Sevier County to get married
and there is no blood test or waiting period required.
Requirements:
Both parties must be in attendance.
Proof of age required: a valid driver's license, certified birth
certificate or a valid passport.
Couples may use a valid Tennessee marriage license from anywhere
in the state, but licenses are valid for only 30 days after issue.
If you have been previously married, you'll need the month and
year of your divorce, or the date of your spouse's death.
Applicants are under the age of 18, must have their parents or
legal guardians sign the marriage certificate.
Payment must be made with cash in the exact amount.
